Here at Thorpe Bay U3A we have monthly General Membership Meetings on (usually) the third Friday of the month. (The timing may be different for our special Christmas events). These meeings are held in Shoebury & Thorpe Bay Baptist Church, 90 Thorpedene Gardens, Southend-on-Sea, Essex SS3 9JD. The entrance doors to the church are in Caulfield Road.
Doors open at 1:15 pm and the meetings commence at 2.00 pm. This is the best time to come and see us and find out what we offer. We also use these meetings as an opportunity to invite along a guest speaker and many entertaining and enlightening afternoons have been spent listening to them.
PARKING: There is a large car park at the rear of the Church. The entrance to the car park is in Thorpedene Gardens and the exit is in Caulfield Road. Limited disabled parking can be found in the Caulfield Road front car park, and this is accessed via the large car park.
BUSES: The number 7 & number 8 buses stop nearby and route numbers 1 and 9 are within easy walking distance.
