Group Details For Do You Like Good Music?

We are a friendly group that meets on the second Thursday of each month. The venue is usually the house of one of our members. Meetings start at 2 p.m. and last for two hours. We listen to music chosen by our members. Each month has a different theme and music is selected to fit the theme. See examples of our playlist. Typically, whoever chose the piece of music will say a few words about their choice. This often leads to an informal and brief discussion. We are not restricted to particular musical style or genres. Our Group is where popular music rubs shoulders with jazz and classical music. Tunes from films and stage shows often mix with classical pieces. Singer/ songwriters from the 1960s and 1970s share a stage with pop and rock music from down the years. You can relive your youth or get to know the music that is popular today. If you don ‘t like what is playing, then we will play music that you choose. We get plenty of enjoyment from researching the music we would like to hear, dusting off CDs, cassettes and even vinyl we have not listened to in ages.
