Group Description :
Visits to open gardens in Essex, will be arranged, primarily under the National Gardens Scheme (NGS). Group members will be offered up to twelve private group visits to a wide range of gardens during each year. Most garden owners open their gardens to support fund raising for the NGS; other visits are to public gardens or nature reserves. Most visits require a minimum number of the group to book for a visit to proceed. You will be invited by email to confirm whether you wish to book a place on each visit in advance, and asked to pay the u3a a non-refundable fee to secure your place on each visit. You will receive an email in confirmation of payment receipt for each visit you book, together with detailed instructions on how to get there. Visits are self-drive, with car sharing among group members encouraged and facilitated. (Saves fuel, easier to park at gardens and enables group non-drivers to travel.)
